SHILLONG: Chesterfield Nongdhar scored a brace to allow Langsning an easy 5-1 win against Boys Sports Company in their Imperial Blue Shillong Premiere League match on Thursday.

The event was a one-sided affair although Boys Sports did show promise initially going into the break with a goal added against Langsning’s two. Samson Nongrum opened the scoring for Langsning with a goal in the 17th minute before Chesterfield provided the second nine minutes later. But within the next three minutes, N. Meitei pulled one back for Boys to reduce the deficit to 2-1.

It was a second half assault that put Langsning in complete control of the game before ending the match 5-1 in their favour. L. Kharumnuid scored Langsning’s third goal in the 68th minute before Algan Sun perfected a shot to make it 4-1 in the 82nd minute. Chesterfield scored the final goal in the 84th before Langsning registered a fashionable victory over the promoted Boys side.
