AAI team identifies Saulatse for construction of Tawang Airport

Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh Tourism Minister Pema Khandu on Tuesday said a team of Airports Authority of India (AAI) recently conducted feasibility study and identified Saulatse at Lumla in Tawang technically feasible for construction of airport.

“Construction of Airport in Tawang will not only boost our defence stand but also improve the socio-economic condition of the people in the remote border district,” said Mr Pema.

He also informed that the people of the district are quite enthusiastic of the proposed Airport project and are ready to provide land anywhere in the district apart from the present proposed site. (UNI)
