Deborah case

SHILLONG: While AICC general secretary in-charge Meghalaya, V. Narayanasamy, remained non-committal on the controversial charge-sheet against MPCC working president and Cabinet Minister Deborah Ch. Marak, Chief Minister Mukul Sangma on Friday asserted that the ongoing events was a clear indication of the State Government’s commitment towards ensuring the provisions of law and reiterated that his government would not be an obstacle to the course of the law.
While lashing out against the controversy being created over the issue, he said that the Government and the party should be appreciated for not interfering into the course of the law.
On whether the minister (Deborah) would be dropped from the Cabinet, the Chief Minister said that the party would demonstrate whatever is appropriate and necessary, at the right time.
