Kohima:Naga Peoples Front (NPF) has denied any leadership struggle within its party ranks.”But any legislator hobnobbing or conniving to destabilise the Government would be doing so at their own risk,” the party warned, on Monday.

Reacting to a statement published in local media regarding leadership struggle in the party, the NPF press bureau termed the reports as totally ‘unfounded’ and with ulterior motive to create confusion in the minds of legislators and dividing the party.

The NPF cautioned party leaders, workers and people in general to take “these mischievous reports” with a pinch of salt.

“DAN-III cannot be frittered away at the behest of usurpers, manipulators and mischief makers. The NPF as a political party stands firm, and is confident of winning people’s support in the next general elections, to be slated on 2018,” it stated. The party also assured that the NPF political party under the leadership of Shurhozelie Liezietsu and the ruling Democratic Alliance of Nagaland (DAN) legislators under the leadership Chief Minister T. R. Zeliang, are in safe hands, the statement said. (UNI)
