NGT ban violation
On November 15 at around 4.30 pm, Police detected four coal laden trucks (AS-01BC-8445) driven by Ramesh Das, (AS-01BD-4537) driven by Arup Nath, (AS-01DD-2775) driven by Vijoy Nath and (AS-01CC-7545) driven by Adhir Nath, at Kongong (EJH), while they were illegally transporting coal in violation of NGT order.
On November 17 at around 11.30 pm, during vehicle checking at Nongpyndeng (WKH), Police detected one coal laden truck (ML-06-5667) driven by Sambokstar Marngar, while illegally transporting coal in violation of the NGT order.
Theft
On November 14 between 1 am and 3 am, unknown miscreants stole one Mahindra Bolero pick-up vehicle (AS-18C-6185) belonging to Kundanmal Prajapal from Warima, Williamnagar (EGH).
Assault
Smt. A Nikhla lodged a complaint at Shillong Sadar PS that one Monoj Paul (21yrs) assaulted her brother-in-law viz., Treatchell Lyndem at Polo, Shillong. Victim sustained injuries and was shifted to CH Shillong. Police arrested the accused.
On November 18 around 2.30 am, unidentified miscreants assaulted Md. Safiqul Islam Jamadar (30 yrs) at Mawryngkneng (EKH). Victim sustained injuries and was shifted to CH Shillong.
On November 17 at around 8.30 pm, unidentified miscreants assaulted three persons, viz., Smt. C. Felo Mina Lyndem (64 yrs), Miss Minita Lyndem (32 yrs) and Baplu Chakma (20 yrs) at Lumjingsuk, Shillong. Victims sustained injuries and were removed to CH Shillong.
On November 17 at around 8 pm, unidentified miscreants assaulted Donald Kahit (40 yrs) at Polo Bazar, Shillong, causing injuries to him. He was removed to CH Shillong.
On November 9 at around 9 pm, one Bena Nongsiej assaulted Bansumarlang Kharwan at Mawsynram (EKH). Victim sustained injuries and was shifted to CHC Mawsynram.
Accident
On November 18 at about 1 am, one oil tanker (ML-05J-1180) plunged into a gorge at Mawryngkneng (EKH). As a result, two occupants sustained injuries and were shifted to CH Shillong.
