SHILLONG: KHADC executive member PT Sawkmie has asked the State Government to ensure that Umrynjah Sub Centre under Mawhati constituency is made functional at the earliest.
In a letter submitted to the principal secretary, Health department, Y. Tsering, Sawkmie termed it unfortunate as the State Government has not been able to complete even such a small project for the last 6 years.
He said that the Health department has appointed one chowkidar while other staff are yet to be appointedand urged the principal secretary to instruct the department concerned to speed up all the formalities.
