Guns, ANLA demand notes seized during raid

NONGSTOIN: Acting on a tip-off regarding the presence of Achik National Liberation Army (ANLA) militants at the house of one James Sangma of Wahthre village who suspected to be involved in kidnapping of one Nikinson R. Sangma of Riangdim village on November 10 at Shallang, a police team conducted a raid of the house on Wednesday at around 2 pm.

During the raid police recovered 122 numbers of ANLA demand notes and two SBBL guns bearing barrel Nos. 97096 and 39383.

Police were, however, unable to arrest anyone since the militants had fled from the scene.
