SHILLONG: Tension prevails along the international border at Gasuapara in South Garo Hills after a gang of dacoits from Bangladesh fired at the villagers in the wee hours of Wednesday. One person was injured in the incident. Before firing, the dacoits attempted to kidnap one person. According to police, unidentified dacoits from Bangladesh attempted to kidnap a person at Gasuapara. When he raised an alarm, the villagers came to his rescue and the dacoits fled away after firing at the villagers injuring one of them on the leg.
