India’s Asha Bhat wins Miss Supranational 2014 title

Asha Bhat made the country proud by winning the title of Miss Supranational 2014 held in Poland and becoming the first Indian to clinch the crown since its inception.

“I am ecstatic. It’s an unbelievable feeling and I couldn’t feel more proud. I am happy to have won this title for my country. Now, I am just waiting to come back to my country and meet my family and friends who supported me throughout my journey,” she said in a statement.

Asha, who represented India at the beauty pageant, competed amongst 70 other countries.

Asha looked dazzling in a gown designed by Gavin Miguel and was crowned by Miss Supranational 2013 Mutya Datul from Philippines at the event happened late Friday night. Asha was also be gratified with $25000.

Earlier in the pageant, the Indian representative also won the title of Miss Talent. (IANS)
