DBTL form submission date extended till Monday in EKH

SHILLONG: The East Khasi Hills District Administration has extended the last date for submission of DBTL (Direct Benefit transfer of LPG) forms till next Monday.

East Khasi Hills Deputy Commissioner Sanjay Goyal informed that the submission date has been extended till Monday next keeping in view the demand from the public.

On Monday long queues were seen outside different gas agencies across the city as consumers waited to submit their DBTL forms.

Under the DBTL scheme, consumers will be paid the balance of the subsidy rate for LPG subsidy directly into their bank accounts.

The DBTL was launched on June 1, 2013 and covered 291 districts. The modified scheme was launched in 54 districts of the country on November 15 in the first phase and will be launched in the rest of the country along with Meghalaya on January 1, 2015.
