Pro-Islamic State tweeter did not recruit: Rajnath

New Delhi: Preliminary interrogation of pro-Islamic State (IS) tweeter Mehdi Masroor Biswas has revealed that his role was limited to putting material on social networking sites and he was not involved in recruiting for the group, Home Minister Rajnath Singh said on Monday.

Making a statement in the Sover Biswas’s arrest, Rajnath Singh said during interrogation the pro-Islamic State tweeter has denied recruiting any people for IS.

“His role was limited to posting material for IS on Twitter and other social networking sites,” Rajnath said. A court on Sunday sent him to five-day police custody for interro-gation, a police official said.(IANS)
