Shillong Games result

SHILLONG: Monday witnessed mixed results for participating clubs competing in various disciplines of the Shillong Games 2014. Following are the results for Basketball and Football: In women’s Basketbal Malki Sports Club defeated Royal Wahingdoh by 51- 42 whereas Lawmali Pyllun Sports Club managed an easy win over Ryntih Sports Club with 68-14 . In men’s Basketball Boys Sports Company scored 62 points against Young XI who scored 32 points whereas Lummawbah Sports Club managed a win over Malki Sports Club with 86 -40 Nongrim Hills Sports Club won the match against . Lawsohtun Sports Club with a score of 40 32 and Mawlai Sports Club had a nail biting match with Riatsamthiah Sports Club with a score of 58 52 Women’s Football Wahingdoh snatched an easy 5-0 win against Nongthymmai after young sensation Pynhun Shulet scored four goals while Danisha Lyngdoh was the other scorer.

SWKH beat WGH

SHILLONG: SWKH won by 6 wickets in the Inter District U-16 category Cricket Tournament organized by Meghalaya Cricket Association. West Garo Hills put into bat after losing the toss to South West Khasi Hills, could manage a total of 117 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in allotted 35 overs. Wilco Marak scored 25 runs(29 balls) and Nikgamseng Sangma 21runs (40 balls) for WGH. Shanborlang Dkhar claimed 3 wickets while Divenshon Lyngdoh & Klostarding Lyngdoh bagged 2 wickets each for SWKH. In reply SWKH paced their innings well and surpassed the opponents total quite easily, scoring 118 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in 28 overs, with Divenshon Lyngdoh in an all round performance notching up 37 runs(66 balls) and Handbilson Nongsiej a patient 24 runs(58 balls). Grimsal Sangma was the only successful bowler for WGH claiming 3 wickets. On Tuesday East Khasi Hills shall meet All Jaintia Cricket Association.

Tripura 267 for 5 against Services
