Doctors end strike in Rama Krishna Mission hospital

Itanagar:The agitating doctors of Rama Krishna Mission Hospital here ended their three-day strike on Thursday after Home Minister Tang Byaling assured them of providing security during duty.
The medics resorted to cease work after miscreants assaulted a doctor on December 13 midnight while on duty. Police arrested two persons in connection with the case. One IRBn personnel attached with a MLA as PSO was arrested last night along with one of his associates, based on CCTV footage provided by the hospital authority, Itanagar PS OC T Bage said on Thursday.
The OC said that the accused have confessed to have committed the crime. They would be produced before magistrate tomorrow, the OC added. Home Minister Tanga Byaling visited the hospital on Wednesday and assured the agitating doctors for providing adequate security besides establish-ment of a permanent police beat near the casualty ward.
He also apprised the doctors that strict action would be taken against the culprits as per the law.(PTI)
