One knocked down

On December 22 at around 12 pm, one Mahindra Bolero vehicle (AS-01A-8047) knocked down one pedestrian Trial Nongkhlaw (70) at Mawnianglah village under Mawngap outpost in East Khasi Hills. Victim sustained injuries and was removed to Civil Hospital Shillong.

One dead

On December 22 at around 4 pm, Pherbak Nongbsap (22) fell down from a moving bus (ML-05D-4518) at Umlangmar village under Mawngap (EKH) and died on the spot. Necessary formalities have been observed and matter is under enquiry.

Murder

On the night of December 21, unidentified miscreants murdered Christopher Jumaty (45) at Jyniaw village under Mawsynram PS (EKH).

Accident

On December 21 at around 9 pm, an accident took place between a Tata Mobile vehicle (AS-01-DD-2019) driven by Dilip Kumar Mishra (22) and one Maruti car (ML-04A-4156) driven by Hem Chyrmang (44) at Sohryngkham Niang (EKH). As a result, driver and one occupant of the Maruti car sustained injuries and were shifted to Woodland Hospital, Shillong.

Money looted

On December 20 at around 10.30 pm, three miscreants armed with pistol went to a poultry farm belonging to WM Syiem at Dholai Manai village under Dangar OP (EKH) and looted Rs. 10,000 from Lumbor Iawphniaw.

Fraud

Rev. Fr. Samkutty Isaac lodged a complaint at Laban PS that one Anil Tigga who was working in the Believer Church, Umran (RB) withdrew Rs. 35 lakh from the Church account and fled away.
