Kolkata:A BJP leader on Monday apologised after he was issued a showcause notice by the party for using ‘unparliamentary language’ against West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.
At a meeting in Purulia’s Jhalda, BJP district in-charge Shyamapada Mondal had yesterday said unparliamentary words against the chief minister. State BJP President Rahul Sinha said they had issued a showcause notice to Mondal after which he had apologised.
“It is unfortunate and it should not have happened. We should not give reply to anyone’s misdeeds by using filthy words. He has been warned of never repeating it,” Sinha told PTI.
Sinha said that at a personal level he was apologetic to all women folk and also to the chief minister. The incident comes days after an FIR was lodged against BJP’s Birbhum district president Dudhkumar Mondal for threatening to cut off hands of Trinamool wor-kers.(PTI)
