Four GNLA cadres surrender

Tura: New Year began on a positive note for Garo Hills, particularly for security forces operating in the region, with four Garo National Liberation Army (GNLA) militants giving themselves up on Friday morning before West Garo Hills SP in-charge Bruno A Sangma.The surrendered cadres were led by Banang G Momin. He was the only member to surrender with a weapon. He handed over a 7.65 pistol with some ammunition. The other cadres who gave themselves up were Tapseng M Sangma alias Rakchak of Rongsak, Walgrik A Sangma from Chasingre, and Damseng Ch Marak of Rongsak.
