Itanagar:All Arunachal Pradesh Contractual Employees Association (AAPCEA) working under Health and Family Welfare Department has threatened to launch state-wide agitation if the state government failed to act its single point demand within a stipulated time frame.
Addressing media persons here today, the president of AAPCEA said the association is an umbrella organisation formed with the temporary staffs working in different categories under Health Department.
The staffs are striving since long for their job security, but the state government’s dilly-dallying attitude has forced the association to choose the democratic path, the president said.
The association has served a 7-point memo-randum starting from today, highlighting their grievances to the chief minister, Health Minister and secretary Health, they informed.
The president said, there were 2492 contractual employees all over the state, appointed in group of ‘A’ ‘B’ ‘C’ and Multi Tasking Staff (MTS) category in various sub-centres, Primary Health Centres and hospitals throughout the state since a long back.
However, the state cabinet in its September 30, 2014, sitting had approved for creation of 1857 posts out of total 2492, in the first phase. The new posts were created, including super specialist and specialist, dental surgeon, laboratory technicians and others, the AAPCEA said, adding, ‘Till today state government failed to react in this matter’.
The association has served so many letters to the state government for regularization of those beneficiaries who were approved by the cabinet. But the state government rejected their earlier demands saying financial problem in state exchequer, the association informed.
Finding no alternative way the association served the time-frame ultimatum to clear the state government’s stands, otherwise they will go for the democratic movement, the association said, after the stipulated time no one will join their duty.
They appealed all sections of the people and NGOs to support AAPCEA for their genuine cause. (UNI)
