Queen, PK top Star Guild Awards nominations

Queen” and PK are  leading the nomi- nations tally in 10 categories, followed by “2 States”, “Highway” and “Haider” in the 10th edition of Renault Star Guild Awards.The Film and Television Producers Guild of India Thursday announced the Renault Star Guild Awards nominations in a statement.Rajkummar Rao (“City-lights”), Varun Dhawan (“Humpty Sharma Ki Dul-hania”), Arjun Kapoor (“2 States”), Shah Rukh Khan (“Happy New Year”), Shahid Kapoor (“Haider”), Randeep Hooda (“Highway”) and Aamir Khan (“PK”) have been nominated for best actor in a leading role. In the best actress in a leading role category, Kan-gana Ranaut (“Que-en”), Priyanka Chopra (“Mary Kom”), Alia Bhatt (“High-way”) and Anushka Sharma (“PK”), will vie for the trophy.Mukesh Bhatt, presi-dent of the Film and Televi-sion Producers Guild of India, believes that the film and television industries have witnessed an incre-dible year in 2014 with as many as 12 debutant promising directors.(IANS)
