Rhino killed by poachers, horn removed

Nagaon :A rhino was on Friday allegedly killed by poachers and its horn removed in Assam’s Nagaon district, police said. The rhino carcass, with its horn and nails removed, covered with sand was found this morning by locals at Laharia Char near Dhing area.The residents informed the police who rushed to the area and launched a search operation to nab the culprits.The rhino was suspected to have strayed into the area from Orang Wildlife Sanctuary. (PTI)
