Guwahati:A senior Congress leader on Friday said the party is losing in elections in states mainly because of lack of discipline among the party members.
“Why are we losing in politics? One main reason is lack of discipline,” All India Congress Committee general secretary C P Joshi said while addressing the concluding function of a state-level training camp of Seva Dal here.
He said Congress party has done lot of develop-mental works since Inde-pendence and much of the credit for the country’s progress goes to the “struggle and sacrifice” of the party.
“But still we are losing and there is a crisis. Our MLAs and MPs are not getting trained. We need to polish them. We have to understand what are the problems. Otherwise, we will focus only on becoming MLAs,” Joshi said.
He said the training has to be must for all members of the party for imbibing and understanding the ideology and philosophy of Congress.
Joshi ridiculed BJP’s attempt to take credit of all the developments that India has made after being in power for just seven months. (PTI)
