SHILLONG: The first Mawkhar Sports Club Five-A-Side Football Tournament sponsored by Aircel 3G will commence on Wednesday. As many as 68 teams from different part of the city will participate in the tournament.
Local MLA Roshan Warjri and Mawkhar headman WHD Syngkon will be the Chief Guest and Guest of Honour respectively during the opening ceremony of the tournament.
The tournament will conclude on January 17. Shillong MP Vincent Pala will be the chief guest during the Closing Ceremony.
