Pune FC sign striker Darko as marquee player

Pune: Pune FC have signed Montenegrin international Darko Nikac as their marquee player for the 2015 I-League season, commencing on Saturday.
The 24-year-old striker joins the club after spending the first half of the 2014-15 season with Mont-enegrin top-flight side OFK Grbalj and scoring six times in eleven games, said a media release on Friday. Darko becomes Pune FC’s marquee player and joins fellow overseas players Luciano Sabrosa and Ryuji Sueoka in the lineup.
Karim Bencherifa, Pune FC Head Coach, said, “Darko is a young striker wWe have taken the right amount of time to observe all the players we have signed to make sure they fit into our system.”(PTI)
