Cheating case

Kamal Kumar Sharma lodged a complaint at Lumdiengjri PS that in March 2011, one Sanjay Kalra and three others collected Rs. 60,82,500 in the name of M/s Vasandaram Construction & Real Estate Pvt. Ltd., Jaipur, Rajasthan, from the complainant and his friends as part payment on account of purchase of twenty-four residential plots of land in the company’s township project at Ajmer Road, Jaipur, Rajasthan. But till date the company has failed to hand over the plots of land to the complainant and his friends.

Body found

On January 19 around 9:30 am, one unidentified male body was recovered from Polo Market, Shillong. Cadaver has been kept at Civil Hospital Shillong.

Accident

On January 18 around 1.45 pm, one motorcycle (ML-10-8603) ridden by Banlamshuwa Khongwir (25) dashed against a fencing at Mawlai Nongpdeng, Shillong. As a result, the rider sustained injuries and was shifted to NEIGRIHMS where he succumbed to his injuries.
On January 18 around 5.50 pm, one local taxi (ML-05L-7889) driven by Iahunlang Thabah (23) collided with a Maruti car (ML-05K-4399) driven by Savio Chyrmang (28) at 5th Mile, Upper Shillong. As a result, one female occupant of the local taxi sustained injuries and was removed to Civil Hospital Shillong.
On January 17 around 9 pm, one Maruti Alto (ML-05F-8062) knocked down Donkupar Kharbani (28) at Mawiong, Shillong and fled away. Victim sustained injuries and was shifted to Civil Hospital Shillong.
On January 17 around 9.30 pm, one truck (number not known) dashed against a Maruti car (ML-05D-6585) driven by Ferdinand Marbaniang (23) at Umtyngar (EKH). As a result, one occupant of the Maruti car sustained injuries and was shifted to Civil Hospital Shillong.
On January 17 around 10 pm, one motorcycle (number not known) knocked down Balarica Alya (40) at Nongthymmai, Shillong. Victims sustained injuries and was removed to Civil Hospital Shillong.
On January 17 around 5.30 pm, one vehicle (number not known) knocked down two pedestrians Merina Rani (35) and Mebakor Marbaniang at Mawngap (EKH). Victims sustained injuries and were removed to Woodland Hospital, Shillong and were later referred to GNRC, Guwahati for treatment.
On January 17 around 7.30 pm, one Maruti van (ML-05J-5572) driven by Amos Dkhar plunged into a gorge at Puriang (EKH). As a result, one occupant Tred Marboh (45) died on the spot.

Two arrested

On January 16 around 5.30 pm, Police arrested two persons Mukesh Rai (22) and Rahul Chowdhury (22) from Madanrting, Shillong in connection with making of fake Driving Licenses.

Theft

On January 14 night, unknown miscreants stole one motorcycle (ML-08D-5175) belonging to Amrit Hussain from Bangalkata (WGH).
Choncinmawi lodged a complaint at Madanrting PS that on January 17 around 9.30 am, she found that unknown miscreants had broken into her shop at Madanrting Block-F, Shillong and stolen Rs.5,000 and some documents.

Thieves nabbed

Hunbak Mynsong, Sordar of Nonghali village (EKH), lodged a complaint at Rynjah PS that on January 15, local residents of the village apprehended four persons Bidi Marboh, Embok Dkhar and two others and assaulted them alleging that they had committed theft of broom sticks from the village. As a result, they sustained injuries and were admitted at Civil Hospital Shillong.

Assault

Embok Kharthangmaw and Kiew Marboh lodged a complaint at Rynjah PS that on January 15 around 1.30 pm, residents of Nonghali village Noron Nongpluh, Kobar Nongbri, Hunbak Mynsong and others dragged the complainant from a broomstick plantation at Lumsaiphah Kyrtet to Nonghali village, where they assaulted and threatened them with dire consequences.

Account hacked

Sukhwinder Singh of BSF, Dobasipara, Tura (WGH) lodged a complaint at Tura PS that on January 13, unknown miscreants fraudulently withdrew Rs. 9,999 and Rs. 3,000 from his account.
