Eucharistic Procession

The Sts. Peter & Paul Pynthorumkhrah Parish will hold the annual Eucharistic Procession on Feb 1 to coincide with the inauguration of the Silver Jubilee celebrations of the Seng Rangbah and Seng Kynthei of the parish. The celebrations will begin with the Holy Mass at 10 am while the procession will begin at 1 pm. Rt. Rev. Bishop Victor Lyngdoh, Bishop of Nongstoin Diocese will be the main celebrant.

Distribution of household bins

As part of the Solid Waste Management Project of the Shillong Municipal Board, Home Minister Roshan Warjri will distribute household bins at Mission Compound Community Hall on January 24 at 9 am.

Cleaning drive

The Demseiniong Dorbar Shnong will organize a one-day locality cleaning drive on January 25 from 8 am onwards. The Dorbar Shnong requested all the vehicles plying through the main road of the locality to drive slow for the safety of the resident of the locality especially children who will be taking part in the cleaning drive.

Public hearing

Grassroot, an NGO working with the Health and Family Welfare Department on Community Monitoring for implementation of the NRHM, will organise a series of public hearings beginning with a Jan Samvad or Public Hearing on Jan 23 at the Block Development Office, Dukan Road, Sohra under the Shella Bhollaganj Block followed by a public hearing at Mawkdok Community Hall under Laitkroh Block on Jan 28. Another public hearing will be organised at the BDO office, Mawryngkneng in February.
