Karnataka police nab NDFB leader

Bengaluru: CCB Police nabbed top National Democratic Front of Bodoland-Songbijit leader Burlung Bhutur in the city.
City Police Commissioner M N Reddi said on getting a tip from the Assam Police, a search was launched and the leader known as Birkhang Basumatary was arrested from a room in the Cotton Pet area Friday night.
The 24-year-old Basumatary was allegedly involved in murder of six tribals in Assam recently.  Reddi said during interrogation, the militant revealed that he was Area Commander of Bodo organisation.
He was being questioned about his purpose of arrival in the City and relation with other terrorist organisations. A police team from Assam will will be taking over his custody. (UNI)
