SHILLONG: Unknown miscreants torched a godown and cultivation fields at Thynroit village in East Khasi Hills on Monday night.
According to Police, at 1.30 am on Monday, unknown miscreants set fire to a godown belonging to one Stewmon Nongspung at Thynroit. Fertilizers and farming equipment valued around Rs. 34,990 were destroyed in the incident.
In a similar incident on the same night, unknown miscreants set fire to piles of bush in a cultivation field at Umaitnai Mawlali, Thynroit causing losses of around Rs. 16,000
Later, miscreants set fire to piles of bush in the  cultivation field at Langsah village, Thynroit.
