MMSA scientific conference in city

SHILLONG: The Meghalaya Medical Services Association will hold its 19th Scientific Conference Cum General Body Meeting from February 6-7 at the State Convention Centre, Pinewood. The scientific
session of the conference will commence from 8.00 am on February 6. The theme of the conference is “Health Care Delivery- Limitations and Beyond”
Doctors who will speak on various topics include Dr. Brajendra Lahkar, Senior Consultant in General Medicine and Critical Care department, Dispur Hospitals, Guwahati, Dr  R.J. Hazarika, Consultant Neuro and  Spinal Surgeon, Dispur Hospitals, Guwahati, Dr Anup Kr. Barman, Professor and Head, Department of Nephrology, Gauhati Medical College Hospital,  Dr. R.S. Thangkhiew, Supercare Hospital, Shillong among others.
The conference will be inaugurated by Deputy Chief Minister Rowell Lyngdoh.  The State Government has granted three days special casual leave on February 5, 6 and 7 for doctors posted outside Shillong and February 6 and 7 for doctors posted in Shillong, for the occasion.
