PVR to host Oscar film fest in 23 Indian cities

Before Hollywood      aficionados in India  sit down to watch the forthcoming 87th Academy Awards ceremo-ny on TV screens later this month, PVR Cinemas is offering fans a chance to watch a string of Oscar-nominated movies on its screens across 23 cities. At what’s being called the PVR Oscar Film Festival, starting Friday till Feb 12, the cinema chain is bringing globally acclaimed movies, which have been nominated for this year’s Academy Awards to cities, including Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai,  among others. The Oscar awards cere-mony, to be held in Los Angeles Feb 22, will be beamed live on Indian TV early Feb 23 morning (IANS)
