Coal extraction continues in EJH

SHILLONG: Despite the NGT ban, extraction of coal continues unabated in several quarries in East Jaintia Hills.
EAC, Khliehriat, C.P Mawkon on Saturday last detected coal labourers identified as Bakul Patan (40), Baladra Barma (47), Sanjoy Basumatary (30) and Lal Bahadur Chettri (50) extracting coal from the quarry of one Nehbiang Phawa at Mutong (EJH). On the same day, he detected two labourers Bija Rai (25) and Deka Rai (28) extracting coal from the quarry of one Speed Ksih at Musning.

(Contd from P-3) Biswakarma,  Kisne Biswakarma and Raju Munda (54) extracting coal from the quarry of one Bliak Siangshai at Musniang (EJH).
Earlier on February  6, he had detected a truck (ML-04-3182) belonging to one Rilang Dkhar and being driven by Bishar Dkhar at Khliehriat (EJH) transporting coal in violation of the NGT order.
