JOWAI: West Jaintia Hills District Administration on Tuesday exhumed the body of Jelbin Roy Dkhar, who was brutally murdered along with his pregnant sister killed inside a car while they were on their way from Barato village to Jowai on July 23, last year.
The autopsy was conducted by Dr E Challam of Jowai District Hospital in the presence of R. Kharbihkhiew,  magistrate, TJ Synrem, Officer In Charge Jowai Police Station  and  other officials.
Police informed that some small pellets were pulled out from the head of the deceased. The small pellets are suspected to be from the modified SBML gun used in the murder.
The prime accused in the twin-murder case — Coming Rabon and Abiding Rabon —  had surrendered before police. Police had also seized the SBBL gun which was used in the crime.
According to sources, a local court on Monday ordered a fresh autopsy after the statement made by the accused contradicted the earlier autopsy report.
