Body recovered

On Feb 15 around 11:15 am, the body of one Khaniti Momin (45) was recovered from Umtrew river (RB). The deceased was reportedly missing since Feb 9, 2015.

Assault

On Feb 16 around 7:15 pm, unknown miscreants assaulted three persons – Santosh Thapa (24), Mohan Chettri (21) and Pramod Chettri (24) – at Umkaliar, Shillong causing injuries to them.

Accident

On Feb 16 around 3:15 pm, one scooter (ML-05L-5512) knocked down one pedestrian Basanti Chettri (68 yrs) at Garikhana, Shillong. Victim sustained injuries and was removed to Military Hospital, Shillong.
On Feb 16 around 6:30 pm, an accident took place between one Maruti car (ML-04-4466) driven by Louis Kharpran (23) and one scooter (ML-05C-4668) ridden by Bulu Sangma (26) at Laitkor (EKH). As a result, both the driver and rider sustained injuries and were shifted to Civil Hospital, Shillong.

Minor handed over to Childline

On Feb 16 around 7 pm, one minor boy Dame Kupshi (10) was found loitering at Laitumkhrah, Shillong. He was handed over to Childline, Shillong.

Theft

Ratan Ch Hajong lodged a complaint at Tura PS that on Feb 13 night, unknown miscreants stole twenty-four batteries and eighty litres of diesel valued around Rs. 1,20,000 from M/s Airtel mobile tower at Arbella Hills under Selsella OP (WGH).
