SHILLONG: Health and Family Welfare Minister AL Hek recently inaugurated the expanded road from Lai Lad to Nongmynsong Market in the presence of Nongmynsong Dorbar Shnong secretary N Nongdhar and PWD officials.
Hek expressed hope that the expansion of the road will ease the traffic congestion considering that this was the main road that connected NEIGRHIMS and the New Shillong Township.
Hek also laid the foundation stone for nine internal roads at Lumphira and Wahkdait under Nongmynsong locality.
