ANVC-B militants arrested in Dalu

TURA: According to a delayed report two militants belonging to the disbanded ANVC-B were arrested on Tuesday in a pre-dawn raid on their camp at Chelipara Village under Dalu police station.
The arrested duo has been identified as Alimbert Ch Momin (26) from Chelipara Village and Amit D Sangma of Jetragre, Chokpot in South Garo Hills.
Police recovered from their possession 2 nos of 7.65 pistols along with one live round.
According to police the two were engaged in extortion and kidnapping in the name of GNLA.
Meanwhile, another former militant of the same outfit, Ramseng R Sangma was caught by villagers on Wednesday and handed over to police in Garobadha.
According to police, he had turned up at Ramdenggonggre Village in Garobadha to demand money from one, Willapson Ch marak of the same village when the villagers caught and thrashed him later handing him over to police.
