Science fair
The State Council of Science, Technology and Environment, Meghalaya Shillong is organizing a State Level Science & Environment Fair on March 26-27 at Shillong Science Centre, NEHU Campus, from 10 am onwards. Selected students from 39 C&RD Blocks of the State will participate in the fair.
Programme
The North East Regional Cub/Bulbul Utsav for children (5 to 10 years) is being organized at Meghalaya Bharat Scouts and Guides State Headquarters, Shillong from March 24-28. About 200 participants from Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Mizoram and Sikkim are participating in a host of activities. The valedictory function will be held on March 27.
Basanti Puja
Shri Shri Basanti Durga Puja is being celebrated from March 25-29 on the Jail Road Puja Mandap premises.
Prayer rally
North East India Fellowship of Charismatic Churches, Shillong will organize a special prayer rally at Malki Ground on March 29 from 3 pm onwards.
Seminar
A national seminar on ‘Folk Medicine and Traditional Healing in India: Theory and Practice’ will be held on March 26-27 at NEHU.
Awareness
The Ultimate Legend Bikers’ Association will organise an awareness programme on road safety on the State Central Library premises on March 30 at 2 pm. East Khasi Hills Deputy Commissioner will attend the function as the chief guest while Superintendent of Police M. Kharkrang will be the resource person.
Meeting
The Garo Hills State Movement Committee has scheduled its 7th public meeting to be held at Dalu Government Higher Secondary School on March 27 at 11 am.
Vehicles released
West Khasi Hills Deputy Commissioner S. Kharlyngdoh, IAS on Wednesday inaugurated four evacuation mini-trucks under the Post Harvest Marketing Scheme 2013-14 at a function held on the premises of the District Horticulture Officer, Nongstoin, West Khasi Hills District.
