RESUBELPARA: A school building in Resubelpara, North Garo Hills was gutted in a major fire that broke out on the school premises on Wednesday night.
The Principal of the school informed that the chowkidar and nearby residents tried to douse the fire but could not do so due to shortage of water nearby.
As the nearest fire station was situated at Mendipathar, around 70 km from the spot, it was impossible to douse the fire.
The matter has been reported to the District School Education Office, North Garo Hills.
