Ajay Gurung (50), an employee of The Shillong Times and resident of Riatsohklur, Nongkseh Block X, 3rd Mile Upper Shillong, passed away at NEIGRIHMS on Friday after a prolonged illness.
He is survived by his wife and two sons.
The management and staff of The Shillong Times have condoled the demise of Gurung and conveyed sympathies to the bereaved family.

The Shillong Times first appeared as a tabloid weekly on 10th August 1945 under the editorship of Late Sudhindra Bhusan Chaudhuri. In 1958 it was converted to a Daily. Owing to financial constraints, within six months it reverted back to a weekly.
