Fraud
Loney Lee lodged a complaint that on March 30, he received a phone call from a person who claimed to be a Branch Manager, SBI, Guwahati and asked for his ATM details. The same was provided in good faith. Later he found that Rs. 49,500 – was debited from his account.
One Lobsang Younten of Jhalupara Bazar, Shillong applied for Police verification to renew his Indian Passport, at SP Office, Shillong and submitted a fake birth certificate purportedly issued by Shillong Municipal Board and obtained his passport without final Police verification through dubious means.
Theft
On April 1 at around 3.30 am, unknown miscreants broke into the house of Artist Marwein at Jaiaw Pdengshnong, Shillong and stole one bag containing EPIC, rubber seals of president, secretary, headmaster and round seal, of Mery Bon Marwein Memorial LP, UP and Secondary School, Umsning (RB).
On March 31 at around 7 pm, two persons Amar Jamatia (21) and Mini (22) stole cash Rs. 1 lakh from the shop of Gobind Singh at Mawlong Hat, Shillong.
Virginia Ksoo lodged a complaint that on March 31, unknown miscreants stole her bag containing Rs. 60,000  at Ummulong village (WJH).
On March  30 night, unknown miscreants broke into the house of Geeta Mondal at Pynthorumkhrah, Shillong and stole gold ornaments, cell phone and cash Rs. 10,000-.
Assault
On April 1, unidentified miscreants assaulted Rose Mary Mawlong (30) and Astonly Mawlong at Sumer under Umiam PS (RB). Victims sustained injuries and were removed to NEIGRIHMS.
NGT ban violation
On March 31, Police detected one coal laden truck (DL-TH-8029) driven by Philip Phawa transporting coal in contravention of NGT order at Lad Sutnga (EJH).
On March 31, Police detected one coal laden truck (ML-04A-3214) driven by Perman Sutnga transporting coal in contravention of NGT order at Jalyiah (EJH).
On March  30, Police detected one coal laden truck (ML-04B-9821) driven by Md. Mazim Uddin at transporting coal in contravention of NGT order at Lad Jalyiah (EJH).
On March  29, Police detected one coal laden truck (ML-04-7222) driven by Del Phawa transporting coal in contravention of NGT order at Lad Jalyiah (EJH).
