SHILLONG: A woman from the city was duped by a Delhi-based “fake publisher” who took an advance of Rs 10,000 to publish and distribute a book authored by her.
The author, Roplyneda Lyngdoh lodged a complaint that in 2013 she had paid Rs. 10,000  as advance to one Raj Kumar, proprietor of Mark Books (Publisher & Distributor), New Delhi to publish her book “Revisiting Khasi Archery: A study”. However, till date neither the book has been published nor was her money refunded by the accused.
