SHILLONG: The Federation of Khasi Jaintia and Garo People (FKJGP) has demanded the State Government to immediately operationalise the two sub-health centres in Mawryngkneng.
The FKJGP Mawryngkneng circle took up the matter with Health and Family Welfare Minister AL Hek here on Tuesday.
Speaking to media persons after the meeting, FKJGP Mawryngkneng circle vice president, Brister Mawthoh said that “the failure of the government to operationalise the two sub-centres constructed at Kut and Nonghali villages respectively have affected the lives of the people residing in the area especially during health emergencies”.
Hek reportedly assured the FKJGP delegation that the department would soon publish an advertisement to recruit staff for the health sub-centres.
