Teenage girl raped

On May 21 at around 11 am, one Elvis Khongrymmai (22) allegedly raped one sixteen-year-old girl at Sohra Pdengshnong (EKH). Police have arrested the accused.

Misappropriation

One Sei Siangshai lodged a complaint that the Manager of M/s SS Enterprise, Ladrymbai, misappropriated an amount of Rs. 40,48,033 belonging to the firm and absconded.
One Roseta Lyngdoh lodged a complaint that Patricia Kharkongor, Babisha Nongrum, Jenika and Liza, borrowed Rs. 5 lakh from the complainant but failed to return the money.

Power theft

A complaint was lodged that one Geofreeson Kharkamni illegally tampered the power connection to his residence at Madanrting, Shillong. Police arrested the accused.

Accident

On May 21 around 10.30 am, one Maruti Alto (ML-05D-6309) driven by Kyrshan Jyrwa collided with a motorcycle (ML-05K-4826) ridden by Pritam Punn (26) near Hotel Yalana, Laitumkhrah, Shillong. As a result, the rider sustained injuries and was removed to Civil Hospital Shillong. Matter is under enquiry.

Theft

On May 20, unknown miscreants stole one lightning arrester from the residential building of Khalida Pearl Decruse Warbah at Nongkynrih, Laitumkhrah, Shillong.
Lakshmi Chettri lodged a complaint that on May 20 around 11.20 pm, one Sultan Khan (54) stole utensils, gas burner and other items from her shop at Lapalang, Shillong. Police arrested the accused.
