Mukul inaugurates four-day NEAT Fest in city

Shillong: Chief Minister Dr Mukul Sangma on Tuesday inaugurated the 4-day NEAT FEST 2015 (North East Agro Business and Trade) at the premises of U Soso Tham Auditorium here on Tuesday.
The annual festival of Self Help Groups which will conclude on September 25 is being organized by the North Eastern Region Community Resource Management Project (NERCORMP), a joint project of the North Eastern Council, Ministry of DoNER and International Fund for Agricultural Fund (IFAD).
Sangma expressed his happiness to be associated with a programme that is linked with the farmers, who take care of the nutritional needs of all.
“Such festivals provided an opportunity to reach out to the farmers who have not been able to leverage on their strengths,” he said.
