BSF school bags title in RBI Quiz competition in city

SHILLONG: The Shillong Edition of RBIQ 2015 was successfully conducted at Moreau Institute of Integral Training (MIIT), Shillong on Wednesday.
The Quiz competition was inaugurated by Director, Institutional Finance & Ex-Officio Secretary to the Finance (EA) Department, D. T. Kharshiing.  The quiz was conducted by renowned Quizmaster Bhavik Shah from Greycaps Pvt. Ltd.
Amarnath, General Manager (O-i-C), RBI, Shillong stated that the objective of RBIQ is to disseminate financial literacy and build a ‘connect’ between RBI and the young student community in schools across the country besides creating an awareness on the history and role of RBI, about trade and finance, economy and events and personalities who have contributed to the economic growth of the country.
Konsam Joshua Lyngdoh and  Richborn Star Kurbah of Class-XII from B.S.F. Senior Secondary School,  Umpling emerged as winners of Shillong Edition of RBIQ2015.
Army Public School, Shillong and St. Edmund’s College (Higher Secondary Section), Shillong stood as 1st Runners Up and 2nd Runners up respectively. The winning team of Shillong Edition will compete in the Zonal Final (East) to be held in Kolkata. Twenty five teams from various schools participated in the competition and about 300 students and teachers attended the event.
