Militants abduct driver in GH

TURA: A vehicle was picked up by suspected GNLA militants on Wednesday morning who then abducted the driver at gunpoint. The vehicle was travelling from Barengapara town towards Kherapara. The driver has been identified as Odonath Koch (35).
When the vehicle had just crossed Machangpani village, 7 kms from Barengapara, the militants halted it and whisked the driver away.
The vehicle belongs to a trader named Noren Barman who himself has been a victim of kidnapping. A petty trader who made a living selling wares in the weekly markets of Garo Hills, Barman was travelling on the Tura-Dalu road when he was earlier abducted from Kherapara area.
