Public holiday in Garo Hills

SHILLONG: In view of the elections to the GHADC, the State Government has declared a public holiday in the five districts of Garo Hills on October 12 to enable voters to exercise their franchise.
The Deputy Secretary, Labour Department also informed that October  12 will a paid holiday for all public, private, commercial and industrial enterprises (including shops and factories) falling under the GHADC.
