Margao: FC Goa coach Zico was a disappointed man after his team’s 4-0 defeat against Chennaiyin FC in a Hero Indian Super League 2015 match at Fatorda’s Jawaharhal Nehru Stadium on Sunday evening.
Goa came into the match on the back of a win and a draw against Delhi Dynamos FC and Atletico de Kolkata respectively while Chennaiyin FC took the field today after losing their previous matches to Atletico and Delhi.
Under pressure to deliver, the Marco Materazzi-managed Chennai fired on all cylinders and thanks to a hat-trick from Stiven Mendoza and one from Elano they registered their first win of the season.
FC Goa now travel to Guwahati to play NEUFC at the Indira Gandhi Stadium on Thursday. (Agencies)
