NSS meet
The NSS District Level Meet 2015 (East Khasi Hills District and Ri Bhoi District) will be held at Union Christian College, Umiam Khwan from October 19-21. D.D. Lapang, Chief Adviser, Government of Meghalaya will be the Chief Guest on the occasion.
Flower show
The Nongstoin Agri Horticultural Society in collaboration with the District Horticultre office, West Khasi Hills will organize a “flower cum floral arrangement” from October 27-28 at Market complex, Nongstoin.
Felicitation programme
The Barapathar Sarvajanin Durga Puja Committee, Mawbah, will organise a programme to felicitate meritorious students of the locality who have excelled in their respective examinations in the academic year 2014-2015. Founder members of the Puja committee will also be felicitated. The programme will begin at 7:30 pm on October 20 during the inauguration of the Durga Puja festival organised by the Puja committee. West Shillong MLA Paul Lyngdoh will be the chief guest on the occasion.
Puja  greetings
The Co- ordination Committee of Central Government  Employees and Workers, Meghalaya Division has conveyed Puja greetings to all the residents of Shillong for Durga Puja and Diwali celebrations.
