SHILLONG: Meghalaya Governor V. Shanmuganathan on Tuesday inaugurated the Jal Seva programme on the occasion of Durga Puja, which is organised by the Terapanth Yuva Parishad.
The Governor individually met the attendees of the programme.
It is currently the 16th edition of the Jal Seva programme where nearly 15,000 people are benefitted each year as they can quench their thirst through hygienically packaged drinking water which is provided free of cost during the three days of festivities.
