SHILLONG: The Seng Samla Mawprem has clarified that their intention was not to tarnish the image of the MDC Hostel but it was a call to KHADC Deputy Chairman Gabriel Wahlang to investigate the matter in connection with the drug abuse.
The Seng Samla alleged that they had received complaints that drug abuse abounds on the backyard of the KHADC premises.
“It was on October 17 at around noon that we were informed that some people were using drugs and we found them in the toilet situated on the premises of the KHADC, which was also witnessed by the women staying at the MDC Hostel,” the Seng Samla clarified.
