SHILLONG: Framing of charges against former police officer Nurul Islam, who is facing rape charge, was postponed after he was not produced before the lower court on Thursday since he was unwell.
Islam’s lawyer said that though Thursday was fixed for the framing of charges, Nurul was not well and hence was not produced before the court. The matter will come up likely on November 12. Sources, however, informed that the case could not be taken up as the Special Public Prosecutor was absent.
