Observance of Vigilance Awareness Week at POWERGRID
Shillong: The Vigilance Awareness Week ’15 observed at Power Grid Corporation of Indian Ltd., Shillong was successfully concluded on 02.12.05. Events organized by POWERGRID during the week included a Panel Discussion with eminent personalities from shilling on the theme adopted by Central Vigilance Commission, an Inter-College Debate organized at St. Mary’s College, Shillong, Poster Campaigning on anti-corruption within Shillong and various other activities on the theme of anti-corruption among the employees of POWERGRID.
2 candidates file nomination papers for Manipur bypoll
Imphal: Two candidates today filed their nomination papers for the bypoll in two constituencies on November 21. Congress candidate for Thongju Assembly Constituency, Bijoy Koijam and BJP candidate for Thangmeiband Assembly constituency on Monday filed their nomination papers at Imphal East and Imphal West RO office respectively. Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh, Deputy chief minister Gaikhangam and a host of Congress leaders beside JD(U) president N Tombi accompanied the Congress candidate during the filing of nomination papers at Imphal East RO office. Singh said the Congress will fight the bypoll on the plank of development issue. He further said the Congress government has taken up innumerable works and the much awaited railway line work will be completed. State Congress leaders will be campaigning for the elections. A total of 53,328 electorate will cast their votes in the Manipur bypoll in two Assembly constituencies on November 21. (UNI)
